Civic Grace
Practices for RESPECTFUL Connection to Disrupt Division
About the Course
Polarization is our greatest national security threat. There is an urgent need for new ways of engaging across our differences - ways that are grounded, relational, and liberating. Civic Grace is a learning journey led by Heather Mizeur that invites us to embody a more respectful, values-based approach to public dialogue and civic participation.
This self-paced course is rooted in the acronym RESPECTFUL, with each letter pointing to a transformative value for how we show up in the public square: Reciprocity, Engagement, Sovereignty, Pause, Equanimity, Curiosity, Courage, Compassion, Connection, Trust, Forgiveness, Ubuntu, and Listening.
